Photographer’s Note

DUDEN waterfall is 12 kms. from Antalya which is one of the best holiday resorts in Turkey. The city is washed with sunshine 300 days of the year. Antalya is a paradise of sun-bathing, swimming and sports activities like windsurfing, water skiing, sailing, mountain climbing and hunting. If you come to Antalya in March or April, in the mornings you can ski on the slopes and in the afternoons swim in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. With frequently departing public transportation (minibuses) from Antalya, within 20-25 minutes you can reach and visit Düden Waterfalls and the park hosting the waterfall.

That is what I was doing when I took this picture. The power of the waterfall and the running water after its departure from the exact spot of the waterfall is impressive. It was really dangerous what the two guys (on the lower RHS of the shot) were doing on the slippery rocks in the water. Maybe they were looking for something they lost !

Köpüklü suyun rengi çok güzel.Ağaçların üzerine vuran güneş ışığıda fotoğrafa canlılık vermiş.

I love these little grottos like this one Behice. There are similar places like this in areas that I have traveled and have often been my refuge for a brief few minutes whenever I get a chance. I love the emerald greens and the frothy waters.
