Photographer’s Note

Ballooning in Capadocia is a must!

Unfortunately, it’s also very expensive and I didn’t have enough money to try it. But every one I talked who had done it said it was an unforgettable experience. However I did enjoy the sight of the balloons plunging into the valleys and Goreme streets, or just hovering above the town, every day very early in the morning, while taking breakfast in my hotel’s terrace.

I like this photo because it gives a real sense of scale of the balloon size: When we see them up in the sky, we never picture their hugeness!
ABOUT THE LIGHT: I could give more contrast to the photo, making the image sharper. But that would loose some of the misty atmosphere, that I think it’s a plus. What do you think? All critics are welcome.
