Photographer’s Note
Cappadocia - These structures were formed as a result of earthquakes in this region. This region today, covers the east of Konya that is defined by Aksaray to the west, Kayseri to the east, Nigde to the south and Kirsehir to the north.
Cappadocia is generally cooler than the popular coastal areas of the Mediterranean and the Aegean. April to mid June and September to October are the best months for avoiding the intense heat and crowds of summer.
Most people say you have really been to Turkey until you have been to Cappadocia!Definitely the highlight of my trip.Wished I had more time to walk around the villages.
I chose this picture to emphasise on the size of the rock formations.
