Photographers Note
Backstreets of Ankara Castle in those years.. A typical daily life..Kid are playing marble and ball, drying clothes in between the houses, imam's praying call from the mosque, your mum's calling you back home, because it's late, etc..
My childhood was a bit like that too,, (nostalgic times now.. ;-)
PS. No matter what you do with the scanners, you cant get the same image from your slides. This was a very contrasty image and Velvia managed extremely well in this one..Whole image is soo different in Velvia unfortunately. Quite disappointing really..

Hi Evren,
Very nice composition. Too bad that the colours are a little bit altered by the scan. It looks like aworking class neighborhood from my country.

Nice picture. The colours are beautiful and the scene is very typical. It is kind of Mediterranean atmosphere.

A little too purple for me to be honest with you Everen but I like the scene and the fact that nobody minded that you are there.
I struggle with my scanner every single day I post here so I do understand.

Krzysztof

Beautiful, Evren. I love this poem. I love it because like a poem the color is somewhat unreal and mysterious, and the childhood's memory is all there.

selam evren,

wow, this light is great, and the mood of this shot. I really appreciate your turkish pictures, I find Turkey very interesting country, and definitely there aren't enough turkish pictures in TE (comparing eg with India)

my eyes were caught and i opened the thumbnail and i said to myself: (in portuguese, of course!): gosh, look at those colors, ranging from deep blue to purple so smoothly, so daringly beautiful and you say this is a mistake of your scanner!
hehe i wish my cam made mistakes like this, since i do not use a scanner!
beautiful anyway.
