Tea drinking is an international past time, and in Turkey it is definitely a part of their way of life. Here a man delivering tea in the busy market of Sanliurfa.
An obsession, an addiction, a daily routine, a ritual, a welcome gesture, a conversation starter, a break from work and a pastime favorite. These are many roles and faces of the Turkish tea. As a visitor to a shop, a public office, a friends’ house in Turkey you are often served a tulip-shaped glass of hot crimson tea with two tiny sugar cubes on a saucer and a little spoon to stir.
While there is a good deal of symbolic meaning to the Turkish tea drinking its very taste is important too. Turkish tea is normally black and most of it is cultivated domestically on the Black Sea coast.

Hi Wanda. No matter what the nationality of your subject, you seem to draw out the best from the individual. A fine composition in which tea is the main point but so is the person carrying the tray- both exuding warmth. Best wishes. Klaudio.

A great portrait job here, and an excellent slice of life from Turkey, showing this man perfectly with his tray of tea and sugar. I like very much the naturalness of his pose and the way he's looking straight at the camera. Technically perfect as always, with good lighting and nice framing. Well done.

Nice portrait with a natural light and neutral saturation. I like the posture and the feeling shared by the guy.
The only thing we could discuss is only the too large depth of field, because the background is a bit disturbing.
I am not doing such kind of shots. I should try, giving a valuable support to a travel photos folder.

This is super Wanda. There is an excellent connection between the tea waiter and your lens resulting in an immediacy as I view the shot. Beautifully composed and finely managed this must be a shot you are really pleased with. I would be!

Excellent story telling composition really fantastic personal moment showing the pleasant good man and the fresh brewed tea he is clearly proud about his occupation and the smile adds lots of life and vigour to colour the day. This is also a great reminder that tea that make the house hold brand name famous come since the colonial days from the sweat, the sweat of very lowly paid women tea pickers from third world countries, fruits of their labours go into big time tea traders in the west. Whenever you have something imported from these countries, remember the sweat and tears that goes into their having luxuries available around the world. Excellent photo journalism and pp works nicely, Congrats
