Return to Harbor
This is another reminder of the days when Bodrum was home away from home. It was taken during my first visit back home after I came to the States. I believe this was a charter yacht coming back to Turgutreis harbor on the western tip of Bodrum peninsula. I was going to take a photo of the sunset, anyway, so I waited for the boat to take its place in the frame before I clicked.
I am guessing that the mountain range in the background is on the Greek island of Kalymnos. Immediately to the north of it would be Leros, home of Ourania Karali (ourania) if my map reading skills are up to spec.

You're capturing well this seascape by a good composition, so it's interesting and impressive to see the calm sea, mountain range in back and sailing yacht on sea. It's tasteful for the sky dyed to setting sun. Amd, the sun's light projected to the sea draws out a romantuc atmosphere in this image.

I only made it as far south as Selchuk / Ephesus so I will have to visit the Bodrum to Antalya stretch of coast another time. Looks lovely too. Sunsets can be difficult especially without any fılters. The lower ın the sky you shoot the more haze to fılter and here you have the added plus of the mountain to partly block the strong glare. Obviously a film shot so I would blur the grainy sky. The reflectıon of the cone on the water is superb. Tfs!

Good timing capturing the sun burst behind the mountain peak, golden streak across the water and the shadow of the fishing boat.
Nicely composed and created,

Old stuff well scanned, Murat.
Pic. endure the time past, and inspite the "grain-effect" on, I like what you saw there and show the silhouette of the fishing-boat against the sunset just behind the mountain.
What a sight this was, admitebly.

I would these scanned picture make, on a small format, this would the grain on the picture a little bit less make.
Your picture is very nice alone the grain is a little disturbing.
You shows us a nice panoramic view about these mountains too.
Very well composition, good presentation. TFS.

it took me a while to come to this photo and note of yours. I absolutely love the light and colours of our neighbourhood:) Although I travel mostly to the north of Leros, this seascape feels very familiar. What has impressed me in this part of the Aegean is that you never feel alone while at sea, there's always land and boats around. Your composition is wonderful and both the boat and the setting sun are well placed in it. I also like how the silhouettes describe the story, those of the people are so interesting. The golden path on the sea is mesmerizing. Congratulations and thank you very much!
All the best, have a great weekend,
