Photographer's Note

Another upload of a historic photo today. When I visited home in 1985, we took a ferry ride up the Bosphorus. As a Soviet cruise ship (note the Hammer and Sickle on the smokestack) was passing us, I snapped this photo. In the distance are Istinye docks where ships were repaired. Those docks have since been moved to east of Pendik and Istinye looks much nicer now.
I scanned this from a slide. I cropped the sky a bit, but I deliberately left the other three edges for added nostalgic look.
P.S. One needs to look very carefully to see the Hammer and Sickle on this resolution (highest that TE allows). It is much more noticeable on the original.
