Cappadocia abounds of natural wonders and beautiful traces of antique civilization.
Although the area has been extensively used and modified by man for centuries, the resulting landscape is one of harmony and splendor, with dramatic rock formations, mysterious underground cities, rock-cut churches and splendid hiking trails.

a powerful composition this, with such strong elements and colours that just all come together so effectively in this light. Immaculate execution and a strikingly beautiful presentation. Love it!
Have a great week - regards Brian.

Andre, this is a very arresting shot with strong framing and light. The darkening clouds behind the rock make for some nice contrast. Interesting to try to puzzle out which of those indentations and holes are natural and which are man-made, and while doing so I feel some envy, as Turkey remains the top of my to-see list in part because of Cappadocia and surroundings.

I don't remember seeing this 'side' of Cappadocia...we are more habitaued in seeing the normal conical or chimney like structures, with ballons soaring around them. Maybe this was one of the similar structures, eroded away with time to create a different dramatic formation. This would have looked even better if the entire sky in the BG had been blue...but little you could have done about it...perhaps (I know you you're a perfectionist & hence the 'perhaps'). The warm tones created by the sun highlights the grass & the rock structure well
Best Regards & Have a great WE my friend
