Photographer's Note

This is part of the famous temple of Aphrodisias, dedicated to Aphrodite.
The city had two major temples; the Aphrodite Temple (this one) and the Sebasteion. A wonderfull temple dedicated tp emperor Augustus. It was a tradidtion in the antique Rome, that emperors was been deified and let build temples for themselves.
Tomorrow I'll post a capture of this second temple; Sebasteion with it's great story.

Bu kare de antik şehir'e adını veren Afrodit'e adanmış şehrin iki tapınağından biri olan Afrodit Mabedinin bir detayını görüyorsunuz.
İkinci tapınak ise Sebasteion. Onun da bir görüntüsünü ve de hikayesini yarın koyacağım siteye.
Romada gelenek olduğu üzere, çok güçlenen imparatorlar bir süre sonra kendilerini tanrı ilan ederlermiş. Imparator Augustus da onlardan biri, ve kendi adına bir tapınak yaptırmış Afrodisiyasda.

A great angle and beautiful depth, making the colums stand out in the wilderness.

I guess you had the road's edge coincide with the left bottom corner, but cropping the bottom gives a nice view, IMHO.

Hello Mesut - Aphrodisias was one of the historical sites that I most enjoyed in Turkey. It's setting was rural and unspoilt and the peacefulness was a treat after some of the very busy ancient ruins. This is a lovely capture, it conveys the feelings that I speak about perfectly. Good lead in line too with the footpath emerging from the lower LH corner. Warm regards Rosemary

ich freue mich über Deine Serie! Bei unserem Besuch in Perge habe ich gehört, dass nur 10 Prozent der antiken Schätze der Türkei bisher ausgegraben sind, und doch gibt es schon unendlich viel zu sehen.

The wideness of the temple is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the columns. The goos luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
