Sainte-Sophie ( du grec Hagía Sophía, nom repris en turc sous la forme Ayasofya) est une ancienne église chrétienne de Constantinople du vie siècle, devenue une mosquée au xve siècle sous l'impulsion du sultan Mehmed II. . Depuis 1934, elle n'est plus un lieu de culte mais un musée.

Hagia Sophia (from the Greek: Ἁγία Σοφία, Turkish: Ayasofya) is a former Orthodox patriarchal basilica, later a mosque, and now a museum in Istanbul. From the date of its dedication in 360 until 1453, it served as the Greek Patriarchal cathedral of Constantinople, except between 1204 and 1261, when it was converted to a Roman Catholic cathedral under the Latin Patriarch of Constantinople of the Western Crusader established Latin Empire. The building was a mosque from 29 May 1453 until 1931, when it was secularized. It was opened as a museum on 1 February 1935.

I must have stood on this very spot, and might even find a picture I took, but on my old, first, Fuji small brick of a camera, on lowest resolution for space, mine would not approach the perfection of this !

The detail you offer, and the colours, in what I recall was quite low light is wonderful. The minimum of flare from the windows is a bonus, you are a master !

J'aime beaucoup! Les couleurs et lumières sont magnifiques. Le cadrage m'impressionne beaucoup, les quelques personnes qu'on voit à gauche, montrent la grandeur du lieu.

Not exactly associated with you...these shots, but taken with equal finesse & panache. The details of the interiors are just wonderful & teh focal point has to be the famous mosaic of Christ at the top right. The difficult light has been beautifully captured!

A shot with immense details but ambient is extremely special here and the natural tones have further enhanced the uniqueness and style of the architecture, combination of both beliefs. The pov has greatly accetuated the depth and height to greatest effect, pin sharp throughout, excellent exposure and nice touches of artificial lighting as well, an image to be proud off for sure. I’m so glad that I belong to this site, because I would have never seen this beautiful place, which you've captured artistically and masterfully. en regardant cette jolie image, j'évoque quelques souvenirs magnifiques de ma visite à Sainte Sophie, et de mon séjour à Istanbul.
Ton cadrage et la gestion de l'exposition, en utilisant une ISO 1600, sont très efficaces pour mettre en valeur la beauté immense de cette architecture merveilleuse au moyen d'une belle photo.
La lumière et les couleurs sont à un niveau maximal de qualité.
C'est une superbe composition.

Cette ancienne église à quelque chose de fascinant. Ta photo la montre de façon très satisfaisante, avec cette coupole encore chrétienne. L'exposition est excellente. La lumière et les couleurs sont superbes. Très bonne netteté également. Bravo.
