In the sixties where agriculture was still been mainteined manually and where all members of the family was been involved; such sceneries was quite common !
Here the daughter of one of the farmers in Central Anatolia, posing for me with the wooden fork in her hands.
Also this entry is been scanned from a b&w print.

Merhaba Mesut. With a few modifications to the dress, she could well be a Russian peasant girl. The mind finds it hard to accept that this sweet girl is now a woman in her sixties.Lovely memories. Best wishes. Klaudio.

Photographs such as these are important historical records of dieing skills and traditions.
I like the innocence of expression, the narrow dof to emphasise the figure and the strong f/g triangle produced by the wooden tool.
Have a good day,

Brilliant! Well, sharpness is not absolutely perfect, but who cares about such unimportant matters when we can see this fine portait. It was taken long ago but looks like it could have been much older, maybe very early 20th century. Rural Anatolia must have been almost timeless up to the latter part of the century, before the arrival of tractors and mobile phones.

such a scene was pretty common in Italy as well at that time.
by the way, I don't think that nowadays beauties would be glad of doing such a job

A very good picture and also a very fine document of bygone times. The B&W format enhances the timeless feeling that is conveyed here. I would have loved to see the colours here!

this is a lovely, vivid portrait. I like very much the point of view glorifying the girl and showing us a great part of the field and the surrounding nature. I also like very much the management of the bright light. The girl offers a charming witty smile that enlivens the photo. Really great!
All the best and a lovely weekend,

This is such a beautiful old photo. The girl's smile and clothing are great. I like the blurred landscape in the background, and the marks showing the photo's age. Very nice scan. I wonder what she is doing now...

one of those that I like best in the oldies series
Nicely shot from low angle so as to have her face standing out against the sky, unspoiled by the BG
Enjoy your WE

The image is so intriguing. I have been thinking of these photos ever since I have encountered them. The subject is reliefed out from the surface of the photo paper. It is so much so that I can only describe this experience as a positive surprise. The air around the young lady is recorded as if the camera has taken a photo of what is behind the main subject. The image is very three-dimensional. The volume of the main subject is also so captivating. The charming smile of this young lady further enhances the impact of this image. This photo and the others are excellent examples of how the development of photographic technique is not as linear as we are lead to believe. 1964, if this image with its quality was possible, a similar quality must be achievable today. The only question is how
With my very best wishes,
Have a very imaginative weekend, Mesut

Merhaba Sevgili Mesut Abi

a Fine portrait in good black and white. The well done lighting gives fine contrasts. Nice composition also. Good eye contact and expressions.
