Back from Istanbul, a week end with good friends, Korkut and Deniz.
Despite of the cold, we had to conclude the trip with a blue hour shot, this time high above the Bosporus, from Asian side.
Two suspended bridges crosses it, joining Europe to Asia.
The western sky is still glowing.
No tripod in my suitcase, so the camera was on a rock near the ground...
Hope you enjoy.

lol, Didier, you will not believe that, but I was just thinking about you :P I haven't traveled for so long I think I am slowly loosing my mind, and I need to go SOMEWHERE. so my plan is to see if Linda, Barbara and some other usual suspects, including you, are up for a weekend somewhere in Europe. what do you think? I'll write you all an e-mail very soon.
but back to the photo - love the illuminated bridge in the distance, and the delicate gradient sky, very elegant.

I thought San Fran when I saw the thumbnail, the scene is really beautiful, top exposures and colours, I like the detail of the far bridge being lit up in green. A dream of a city.

Hello Didier, great shot here! Inspiring title. What i love the most is the reflections on the water even though i'm not a big fan of reflections but yours are just stunning.

A good rock beats a tripod anytime, and you don't have to carry things around (except the camera). At least, that's my philosophy. Anyway, great shot, great to see another post from you. Good use of the trees and branches in the fg within the composition.

great composition and POV of Istanbul city. Sharpness and contrast are well done and I like the harmony between the blue and orange tonalities.
