Photographer's Note
Go ahead with wallarts ! Here a detail of one of the old houses of Eskişehir (a city in the central Anatolia). This kind of plastering was quite common from 17th century onwards. The wooden house was first covered with about 2 cm thick wooden stripes, which again was been covered with a plaster (a mixture of chalk, sand, eggwhite and goatshair) and painted at the end of the work.
The reason oft this special plaster was to give a certain flexibility to the surface without causing cracks ! But as you can see, even though, the formula was not strong enough against aging !
Bu here you can see an important difference ; unlike the previous one, here the houseovner has made a correction at the left part with a simple mortar (a mixture of cement and sand) !

Emilius

Hi Mesut
I chose this photo for the story, the learning.
Its educational reading the note below, and fascinating that they would use goat hair as part of the plastering!
a true cultural photo.
well done
Cheers

Merhaba, my friend Mesut,
a minimalist composition with a strong graphical effect, in which you have created a very powerful image with these simple elements in the facade of an old house.
It is amazing how it is possible to obtain a great artistic result when one has a good photographic eye.
A fantastic work.
Best regards,
Josep
