Black-Sea Sunset near Pazar, a photo from Rize, Black Sea

Photographer's Note

I took this picture, when the sun was setting and I had understood that I should search for a place where my bike and I would have a night rest. But, finding a good place for a camp on the Black Sea Coastal Highway (Turkish: Karadeniz Sahil Yolu) is a very difficult task because the area at the one side of the road is very densely populated, and at the other side there is only a narrow strip of seacoast where big stones of the roadbed prevent setting up a tent. Nevertheless, I had found a good place for my night stop on the beach near Sivrikale Village, where the road went through a tunnel (Pazar Tüneli) leaving the beach untouched.

You sound to have been experiencing exciting times!

I love the way that you have used the f/g bushes to create an off-centre frame for the scene. It directs the viewer, at an angle, towards the m/g rocks and then on towards the spectacle of the setting sun.
The contrast between the shadowy f/g and the warm, colourful b/g is quite beautiful.
