Photographer's Note
Uchisar is one of the most famous villages of Cappadocia, and one of the best places to have as a "base" while exploring this magnificent region, along with Goreme and Urgup. Uchisar means "edge castle" (there is another village in Cappadocia, called Ortahisar, which I think means "Middle castle"-***CHECK HERE***), and its famous for that castle, which is not a castle like we know it with walls and doors etc. It's a very tall volcanic rock, with holes and tunnels, a natural castle that was used like one, since the Byzantine years. Here, you can see the "backside" of the "castle", "bathed" in warm, late evening light.
You can reach the top of the rock crossing tunnels, caves and carved stairs. It is the highest poing in the heart of Cappadocia, offering some magnificent views, especially to Pigeon Valley, Love Valley and Goreme.

Hello Hercules,
A magical combination of nature's mountain and human cave dwellings. Nicely detailed and with warm low lighting. And a bonus with your detailed note.
good job,

hello Hercules
Impressive view of this vast and surreal rock cut and dug everywhere, the village (Üç / hisar) means "three fortresses" I think, great light and amazing detail in the rock,
best regards,
Valerie.

Hello Hercules,
It is not fare! Some of the finest shots I've seen of the area surrounding Cappadocia, and indeed of Turkey, are not from a native, but a visiting neighbor. The vertical format is ideal here to emphasize the verticality of the place. I have to admit, I don't remember this astonishing view from my visit. Absolutely spectacular slide!
Warm regards,
Bulent

Ciao Hercules,
Ottimo lavoro!

Hola Hercules,
Carlos

My God! I didn't know that those hills were so high! Really skyskrapers! An image with a very strong visive impact (as in your best style) thanks to the peculiar subject but also to the intense colours and the tight framing. The lateral evening light enhances the shapes and details of this incredible village. Excellent!
Well done,
Donato

Hi Hercules,
this is so weird, so unique and original. I like it very much. I have never seen such a POV from this place.
You caught it in a great light and composed perfectly as usually. I could look at that for a very long time following the paths and checking varios "apartments".
Excellent work, TFS

Bonjour Hercules
Bravo
