Photographers Note
My 10th and last portrait is neither a poet, nor an artist and nor an academic. Another friend of me, he is a retired fisherman and a man with 1000 skills: Fikret Usta (Master Fikret) .
You can see him painting the walls of the houses in his neighbourhood, or repairing a transistor radio; or driving his ultramodern car Anadol (year 1970) First ever built turkish car ! I have put also an interior view of his car as WS ! All the instruments are in full function. Only my question to him about the function of a TV remote control there, remains still unanswered !
This entry is also been scanned from a b&w print .
Emekli bir balıkçı reisi ve on parmağında on marifet: Fikret Usta .

Hi Mesut,
This must be one of your best portraits is this series! The light is excellent and his facial expression is perfectly captured. The black background is very good too. An outstanding picture, he must be very satisfied himself with this!
Kind regards

mehraba Mesut,
gratuliere

Fine portrait but it is a pity that eyes are almost invisible.

Hi Mesut,
I like the light and the general feel of your portrait. One thing I find disturbing though is that we cannot see the eyes...a bit creepy I have to admit...
Best,

Hello Mesut,
well, I knew it must have been a fisherman before I`ve red the note. This face speeks by itself.
I admire these people for their longanimous character.
The portrait is fantastic.

And you document the fisherman too..the jack of all trade..thats your personality mesut..in your eyes...the painter..professor and the philosopher..the common worker..all have the same amount of importance and respect..thats what makes photography so special..it know no boundaries..no limits..
the last one..i am quite disappointed

hi Mesut,
a well done portrait, good control of the B&W and good management of the light. nice shadow on the left part of his face.
thanks to share with us his daily life in the note, like if we talked about our own neighbour.

Merhaba Mesut Bey,
Fikret Usta'yla tanışmıştım. Şile'de yaşayan eşimin eski müdürü dünyalar tatlısı bir insan Tamer Bey tanıştırmıştı bizi. nereden nereye ... Harika bir portre olmuş emektar anadol'un içini görmemiştim, Tamer Bey de söylemişti harikaymış gerçekten...
Portre serinizin bitmesine üzüldüm doğrusu,
sevgiler,

Guten Abend Mesut!
So langsam reicht's! ;-)
Frank
PS.

Fikret Usta hakikaten "master of all trades"mis.
Sevgi ve selamlar,
Bülent

Hello, dear Mesut!
Maybe, Fikret Usta, is not as famous as the others, but he is equally important person, and his portrait is one of the best I have ever seen! Even in this dark background, the sea is everpresent, mostly in his eyes, in the way he looks! Top quality, powerful portrait! Congratulations!
Warm regards,

Bonjour Mesut,
Daniel.

hi mesut
there is long time I didn't comment any photos of you, i find this portrait very interesting by the light which bathed his face.
obviously b&w is the best choise for this kind of picture.

ciao Mesut,

Tebrik ediyorum
Saygı ve sevgilerimle
