Photographer’s Note

From today onwards I'll put some portraits of famous men (both from Turkey and abroad) I portraid in the past.
Nr 1 is a famous turkish painter Ibrahim Balaban.
He is both a painter (naive) and writer. Here when he was dedicating one of his books to me. On WS you can see him working. He learned painting from famous turkish poet Nazım Hikmet, when both were been in the same jail in Bursa (1941).

Bugünden itibaren birkaç gün boyunca, yurtiçinden ve yurt dışından portrelerini çektiğim bazı ünlülerin resimlerini göreceksiniz sayfamda.
Bu ilk portre, ünlü ressamlarımızdan İbrahim Balaban. Balaban hem ressam hem yazar. Bu karede kitaplarından birini imzalıyor bana. WS de ise onu en son yapıtının başında çalışırken görüyorsunuz.
Balaban'ın resim hocası ünlü ozanımız Nazım Hikmet. Bursa ceza evinde aynı koğuşu paylaşırken öğretmiş Nazım Balaban'a resim yapmasını (1941) .

Hello, dear Mesut!

Top quality portrait, one of the best I have seen in a long time! Perfect tight framing and composition, perfect timing, perfect choice of b&w! I think that portrait is probably the most dificult photographic genre, and it tells us a lot not only about the people being photographed, but also about the one behind the camera! This photo shows a very sensitive man behind the camera, Mesut bey!

İsmini biliyorum ama kendisini ilk kez görüyorum. Yararlı oldu bu anlamda. Bu çalışmanız da güzel olmuş Mesut Bey. Doğal, mühim ve de sessiz bir an:))) Ressamın el hareketi, yüz ifadesi ve dikkati çok net. Bizi kendine çekiyor fotoğraf. TEBRİKLER... Workshoptakiler ayrı güzel bu arada,iyi ki eklemişsiniz.
