Ortakoy Mosque near the Bosporus Bridge, many nice restaurants around it, and many people in that part of Istanbul. It is interesting, some of them do not forget the leave the everyday hassle and go for a moment to worship like these four men. Very special moment.

I have been in Ortakoy too...in order to take the ferry to Hayderpasa.
it's true...I like the contrast you just described.
outside is chaotic, frantic and noisy...inside...so peaceful and silent.
excellent POV from below to emphasize depth and architecture

Hi Michael. i have been to the other famous mosques in Istanbul, but not inside this one. Great capture of the interior. the light is well managed and the four men praying add a sense of dimension and reverence. Pozdrawiam. Klaudio.

Hello Michael,
A fine view of the mosque that I believe is one of the most transparant mosque buildings in Istanbul. Great clarity and a fine point of view that alllowed you to integrate the central dome.

Beautiful interior photography, very dificult, but very succesful shot! Great perspective, the converging lines and the distortions enhance the holiness of this fantastic mosque! The people praying add life and scale! Congratulations!
