Photographer’s Note
The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is the national mosque of Turkey, and is a historical mosque in Istanbul. The mosque is one of several mosques known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior. It was built between 1609 and 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I. Like many other mosques, it also comprises a tomb of the founder, a madrasah and a hospice. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque has become one of the most popular tourist attractions in Istanbul. [Wikipedia]
No wonder, that it is one of the most popular places in Istanbul. It is aways opened welcomming people from the heat of the day into its pleasant cool interior which is splendidly decorated and the floor is covered by soft red carpets. It represents a really mystic place, which turns at evenings into a place from any fairy tale from Thousand and one nights.

Hi Michael,
Great picture, I like it very much, the angle and the perspective are the best, good effect with the dozens of windows you captured, good work!
Friendly regards

Hello Michael,
Excellent image with a considered and well-balanced composition. An perspective expanding radially has a great impact, and rendition of gold is also so nice.
Best wishes, Hisashi
