Since last 29th May I was on a four days trip in differet cities of South-East Turkey.
Historycally also known as Mesopotamia whre the rivers Tigris and Eupohrates meets each other.
Unfortunately this part of my country still suffers under majör economical and ethnic problems.
From today onwards I shall post many different "human faces" from this region which also symbolises their faiths. This cute girl of Kurdish origin has told me her story. But when she noticed my camera, she tried o mask her face with her henna painted hands.
Bugünden itibaren sizlere yaptığım on dört günlük Gap turun'dan resimler sunacağım.

Your trip to the more south-eastern parts of Turkey must have been fascinating Mesut. A different landscape and a different lifestyle and a huge divide between the more affluent areas of your country. The young girl is clearly not too happy being photographed and your resultant shot tells us something about her background. Interesting to see the henna on her hands.
I look forward to more from this series.

Hello Mesut Bey,
The disparity of economic growth aimed at minorities is well evident here.Let us resolve to bring about real equality and change towards one and all.TFS.

A very beguiling photograph, although one taken in the face of the subject's disapproval. It's difficult, even embarrassing, under such circumstances to make one's picture; but to persevere and trip the shutter often provides a more edgy and interesting result than a happy smiling subject. Did you apologise and have a little joke afterwards?
