Since last 29th May I was on a four days trip in differet cities of South-East Turkey.
Hystorycally also known as Mesopotamia whre the rivers Tigris and Euphrates meets each other.
This capture was been made in one of the closed markets of Gaziantep. This boy (he is only 9) has to work in his fathers workshop and prepares thos wooden barrels. People hang them on trees and use to make a very refreshing drink in summer times called Ayran. It's diluated yoghurt and quite refreshing.
Bu kare de bu dizinin onbirinc karesi. Gaziantep'in çok sayıdaki kapalı çarşısından birisinde, 9 yaşında bir delikanlı babasına ait dükkanda ayran yayıklarını zımparalıyor !

A touching report indeed that features an hearty boy working for his family instead of playing on those electronic appalling gizmos.
Lot of varied goods for sale seen on shelves, including a replica of my grandmother's meat grinder!
Your street scenery prompts food for thought.

Another fine candid portrait, showing the life of the city in really fine detail. Sometimes in big cities it is hard to see the lives of people for the enormity and bustle of the places, but a scene like this freezes the moment forever. An important historical document and a very fine photo.
Thanks as always

You have chosen a good title for this series of interesting pictures. There is lots of interest to see here. But nine years old seems very young to be working. I guess his family needs his help though. You have handled the bright light very well.
I have never visited Turkey and your photos encourage me to think about taking a trip there.
