The impressive restoration on the formerly roofless and partly destroyed Armenian church in Diyarbakir. which can be seen in workshop as it looked in 2009. Taken from the 2nd floor. There is a stairway at the entrance after you enter the main building. I tried adding more yellow but it made the rest of the image look odd. Also messed around with the red and magenta layers but did not like the cyan green tint either so I reversed that too.

Chosen an exceptional perspective inside the church, Chris.
Beautiful set of pillars, meticulousely built in juxtaposition which you very well show with excelent clear details.
Indoor's light well managed.
Impressive the change since before the restoration as shown on the WS.

The sucession of arches is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the architecture of the interior of the church. The surrounding light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

The sheer geometric beauty of this church and the symmetry with which you captured it compelled me to click on the TN for this. The colors look fine to someone who has not seen the place first hand.
Why do you think the church was restored? Was it an effort at reconciliation, do you think? Does it have a congregation, or is it a museum piece (of sorts)?
PS. What are you doing in Afyonkarahisar? Visiting or relocated?

An Armenian church restored with the help of Turkish money, if so a good example to follow all over the country
Don t understand why you complain about the color having obtained a soft blue one
Great POV and symmetry obtained by the following arches
Nice to see at the back the painted image

You have selected a perfect POV for taking this beautiful symmetrical presentation. It really works to get such an eye catching result. Cold tonality made the scene unique and special in my opinion.

Hello Chris - Interesting to see the before and after shots and heartening to see that this ruined building was deemed worthy of restoration. I think you colour work is fine... perhaps not true to life but that doesn't bother me, what is important here are the details all of which are clear and well presented. I like the way the arches funnel the view to the altar and icon.
