La Mosquée Bleue ou Sultanahmet Camii , une des mosquées historiques d'Istanbul, fut construite entre 1609 et 1616, pendant le règne de sultan Ahmet Ier. Comme beaucoup d'autres mosquées, elle comporte également une tombe du fondateur, une médersa et un hospice. Elle est le point de départ des caravanes de pèlerins musulmans vers La Mecque et reçoit le privilège islamique de présenter six minarets,la Ka'ba étant la seule à en disposer de sept.

The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is an historical mosque in Istanbul.The mosque is popularly known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior.
It was built from 1609 to 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I. Like many other mosques, it also comprises a tomb of the founder, a madrasah and a hospice. It has 6 minarets and 8 coupoles, the Ka'ba in Mecca being the only one to have 7.

Un point de vue spectaculaire, on dirait un OVNI en forme d'arraignee.

Le marron des demi-coupoles et le bleu du dome vont tres bien ensemble.

Hello Patrick - Delicate and beautiful shot, there is a magical quality to the light in this composition and the colours are subtle and fine. The repeating arched windows, through which the light streams, give a lovely rhythmic pattern to the shot. Superb! Warm regards rosemary

Quoi,tu étais en Turquie? Tu n'arrêtes pas!Le dôme bleue semble auréolé d'une douce lumière qui le fait superbement ressortir sur les autres de couleurs marron.C'est superbe!

wonderfully detailed shot, the light treatment is exceptional. Love the soft blue light setting off the dome. I was inside this mosque ten days prior to you but I don't think my shots are any good. Excellent work.

C'était donc ta destination cette fois-ci! On a déjà vu souvent cette très belle mosquée bleue sur TE mais tu as réussi à trouver un cadrage très original de ces coupoles, jouant au mieux avec la lumière et les petites ouvertures la laissant passer. C'est superbement réalisé et de très grande qualité.

Very impressive interior, apart from the relaxing atmosphere, architecture, views and rustic ambience this is incredibly ornate. With careful exposure and adjustment you have revealed the intricate detail and colors so subtlely. Impressive depth and great shooting angle with exellent mixture of light and shadows to give the structure such strong character, Spot on! and really evocative. Great shot, TFS

la Mosquée Bleue est une vraie merveille, et ceux qui nous l'avons visitée, essayons de capter la majesté de ses coupoles, et sa grande beauté architectonique.
Je l'ai fait en 2010, et tu aussi l'as fait maintenant, avec un grand résultat esthétique dans une composition très puissante graphiquement.
La gestion de la difficile lumière intérieure est magnifique.
Un beau travail.

I was here in 2000. Excellent presentation of the wonderful heritage of the Ottoman Empire. Superb sharpness, attractive composition. Very interesting note too.
