[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I made this picture in a narrow street in Zeyrek; one of the parts of İstanbul, which was been populated since Byzantine period.
In te center of the small place surrounded by old wooden houses there is a graveyard meausuring approx 10x10 m's. İt seems to be the graveyard of an ottoman family who lived nearby .The grave stones are surrounded by an irone fence.
İt is not usual, that such a graveyard takes place just in the middle of such buildings, there are many other samples in İstanbul
But most probably, also the neighbourhood does not takes to much notice of it ! As you can see, someone has hung his laundry to dry up ; and two boys in front of the graves are enjoying their day.
İstanbul is full of such complexities, whih reminds one to "two world" s ! I chosed b&w ; as it reminds me to good old days !!!

Indeed it is a very curious situation and place and so it makes it a very TE picture. The B/W is very sober, austere, which is the perfect fit for your concept. the kids walking in the front are a nice addtition!Did you wait a long time for them to pass by?
Very interesting and very beautiful!! top class picture!
