Istanbul Trip, Day 7, Scene 4
As soon as we got to Üsküdar, my first instinct was to take a photo of Dolmabahçe. However, I must confess that I do not recognize many of the buildings in the skyline. The old landmarks like Dolmabahçe Palace (right on the opposite shore), Dolmabahçe Mosque (formally, Bezmialem Valide Sultan Mosque, to the left of the palace), Istanbul Hilton (a little to the left of the palace, shoe-box like building on top of the hill with a facade that looks like a radiator grill), Istanbul Technical University Maçka Campus (to the left of Hilton, behind the tall black skyscraper) reassured me that I was in Üsküdar, but the rest of the high rises have mushroomed since my days in Istanbul.
İstanbulun Değişen Silueti
İstanbul Seyahati, Gün 7, Sahne 4
Üsküdar'a varır varmaz, ilk içgüdüm Dolmabahçenin fotoğrafını çekmek oldu.

Splendid wide panorama of this side of Golden Horn. I was in this Mosque and saw Dolmabahce but I am not specially interested in high new buildings. Great composition and excellent sharpness, we can see so many details.

A lovely panoramic view about this part of Istanbul.
Very well with the big water front in foreground, and the sky line with sky scrapers. Excellent perspective and depth picture.
A nice composition, lovely presentation too.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice day,

Great Panoramic shot of Dolmabahce, like the low angle looking across the water. Also not a ferry or gull in shot, that must be a first for a picture of the waters around Istanbul. I think there is to much high rise building going on in parts of our cities around the world taking away the characteristics of the cities.

The title conveys well what you meant, Murat, new skyscrapers built and rise above the "old" skyline.
This is a modern-cities phenomenon all over the world, some places are so rapidly changing, that year following you see a whole diff. view.
Fine clear shot, good DOF across the Bosphoros.

Interesting skyline seen from a certain distance!
Attractive picture too!
Sharpness, exposure, colors, slim horizontal format, chosen pov and composition pleased me here just as well!
TFS - congrats,

You're capturing well this landscape by a good panoramic view and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the calm Bosphorus and new skyscrapers in Istunbul. It is interesting that an old building and a modernistic building live together.

a very interesting cityscape. I love the texture of the sea and the sense of movement it evokes, its colour is brilliant too. Your simple composition and panoramic frame are very effective, we can study a wide view of the skyline that proves your expression "the high rises have mushroomed" most accurate. The presence of skyscrapers here and there looks surprising even to me who were not accustomed to the old view. Each building is sharp and clear and the play of the light makes the cityscape even more intriguing. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
