Photographer's Note

Another capture from the innercourt of the Topkapı Palace, once the residence of the Ottoman Sultans in İstanbul.
The great hall with the tower was once the meeting place of the Ottoman Ministers. The Sultan didn't attend those meetings but from time to time he was sitting in a special chamber of this tower and listened to the debates of the ministers, who couldn't see him !

Topkapı Sarayı'nın orta avlusundan bir başka kare. Karşıdaki kuleli bina, Osmanlıda vezirlerin toıplantılaırını yaptıkları mekan. Bu kulenin içindeki bir odaya padişah zaman zaman gider oturur, içeride konuşulanları dinlermiş !

Hello Mesut,
A pleasantly lit shot looking across this courtyard. The tower stands out beautifully against that beautiful sky and makes a splendid focal point. The visitors wandering across the square contribute much to the mood, bringing the scene to life. Very good colours and sharpness.

J'aime beaucoup cette composition ou le clocher et les minarets semblent faire bon voisinage.J'aime les ombres des arbres sur les pavés à l'avant plan ainsi que la belle luminosité.

Topkapi Palace is a real jewel in the middle of Istambul.You captured the majesty and beauty of this place excellenty.I like also this unique play of light&shade,which adds here so kind of nice,pleasant mood to the whole scene.Well composed and executed shot.

Istanbul is high atop my to-see list, Mesut, and I'd love to take the same walk around Topkapi that you've been on here, so I'm living vicariously through you. This is a nice wide look at the courtyard showing off the architecture and the atmosphere nicely. Thanks!

Hello Mesut,

You're capturing well this palace by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the historical Topkapi palace with the circular building group and some towers from innercourt. It looks like the palace with typical Islamic style. And, it's impressive in the wide innercourt and winter trees, too.

a beautiful sight on this gorgeous inner court of Topkapi Palace, in a sharp and clear image. I like the blue sky, the good light and the natural colors of this composition, specially because during my visit at this fantastic place was raining strongly.
