Istanbul Trip, Day 3, Scene 4
One of the functions that Istanbul Modern offers is cinema. This is what their website says about this service: In line with its goal of providing audiences with an alternative film screening platform, Istanbul Modern Cinema focuses on examples from history of world cinema and rising talents in Turkey. Its programs keep film enthusiasts informed on the latest developments in the art of filmmaking, avantgarde cinema and documentary films.
Unfortunately, the museum was plagued by the recent craze about copyrights and would not allow photography in most of its exhibit halls. The places available for photography were limited to a tiny fraction of its collection.

Striking warm cold color contrasts between the red seats and the electric blue window. Adequate sharpness and well composed with the window positioned well on the 1/3 axis. I am missing a little sharpness but I know how dark indoor cinemas can be so this is a top shot without the use of a tripod. Photography seems to be being progressively banned most everywhere these days for several reasons, of of which includes copyright as you mention. Tfs!

This is wild Murat, I wasn't quite sure what to think upon first view...and now with a closer look, I'm still unsure! :) It definitely makes you stop and process the visual, and the tri-color scheme is wonderful, a true RGB.
The repetition of red seats and the angle on which they sit (pun intended) makes for a nice, soft diagonal cut across the frame for added impact. Strangely intriguing concept, but I enjoy the colorful result. I just hope it wasn't as expensive to enter this Cinema as here in the States...feels like I need to take out a loan to catch a movie these days!? Enjoy the new week. Take it easy.
