Istanbul Trip, Day 3, Scene 2
According to its website, the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art, Turkey’s first private museum to organize modern and contemporary art exhibitions, was founded in 2004 and occupies an 8,000 square meter site on the shores of the Bosphorus.
Istanbul Modern embraces a global vision to collect, preserve, exhibit and document works of modern and contemporary art and make them accessible to art lovers.
As part of its commitment to sharing Turkey’s artistic creativity with wide audiences and promoting its cultural identity in the international art world, Istanbul Modern hosts a broad array of interdisciplinary activities.
Apart from permanent and temporary exhibition galleries, a photography gallery, and spaces for educational and social programs, the museum offers a cinema, restaurant, design store and an extensive library.
The library area was decorated with a myriad of books hanging from the ceiling which presented quite an interesting sight.

Libraries are so interesting places and here what a great idea to hang the books from the ceiling. They look like birds flock. Interesting shot.

Most library's have their books in rows and shelves, but here we have them floating so to speak on the ceiling, he he.
Great photo of this scene in Istanbul Modern Art Museum.

You're capturing well the inside of this Museum by a good amgle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art with modern interor and books hanging from the ceiling. Iy's also impressive in seeing the booth divided into the magazine and the book.

It would be too dificult to get a book in this library, Murat - but this only my humor, on first reaction when opened the thumbernail.
Light indoor's was a bit too low, you might had encountered this when taken this photo.
Anyway, the special site with the hang books deserve a photo to be shown.
Have a nice Friday,

A very unique way of decorating a library, haven't seen anything like this before. Knowledge flowing from the top it seems :-) Your photo is worth noting just for this very strange and unique false ceiling. brilliant idea! Thanks for sharing this.

The wideness of the area is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colours of the shop of the museum. The light has a good effect on the colours. Have a nice day.

Somebody call Chicken Little immediately...the sky is falling! :) My oh my, what an interesting and brilliant concept...but it sure makes it difficult to read one of those books!? lol
Quite an eye-catcher, a most unique and fun way to decorate, it certainly piques immediate interest. Love the fact that knowledge from a library can also be achieved through photography. Well composed along the vaunted "thirds" rule. It actually looks like a huge flock of colorful, soft cover birds. :) Big score on the use of "myriad," I've actually been wanting to use that term as well. Seriously. You beat me to it though, guess I'll wait a while now. Enjoy the weekend. Have a good one.

Wow, stunning display of art. A ceiling made up of floating books, ingenious! The POV could be improved, but I like it how you've managed to straighten the horizontal layer of books. Great feature.

curious structure showing these flying books. I liked these details around, maybe it would be better with a personage at right.
