The wintry weather continues in Istanbul. To stay out of the chilly rain, we went to the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art.
Istanbul Modern is Turkeys first private museum to organize modern and contemporary art exhibitions. It was founded in 2004 and occupies an 8,000 square meter site on the shores of the Bosphorus.
Istanbul Modern embraces a global vision to collect, preserve, exhibit and document works of modern and contemporary art and make them accessible to art lovers.
Apart from permanent and temporary exhibition galleries, a photography gallery, and spaces for educational and social programs, the museum offers a cinema, restaurant, design store and an extensive library.
This is taken from the entrance to the exhibits. To the right of the metal sculpture, you can observe a young child's own interpretation of art in rain puddles.

The buildings are framing well the park. The length of the park is giving depth to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and the colours of the sculpture. The rainy sky is giving a good contrast to the colours. Have a nice day.

Good presentation of the old historic part of the city and so amazing modern sculptures. Sometime I have been visiting our museum of the modern art too. But frankly speaking not every collection is very interesting for public and for me.
I have watch your photos and I can't explain so unreal colors combination. It looks like a incorrect settings.
Once I forgot to change regime of "luminescent lights" to "sunlight" and had have some strange blue hues on an every photo. Check it too.

I was in Topane just 2 days ago just before the rain started. I don't appear to have many classes this week so if you want to meet me drop me a line in email and I will see what I can do. Nice contrasts in architecture with a pleasant diffused light. Tfs!

a well composed view of this interesting place with old, less old and modern buildings offering us a rewarding view. I like the arrangement of the various elements of interest in the frame, the green lawn gives dynamism and bright colour, it offers striking contrast but doesn't distract us from observing the rich background -remarkably clear under these difficult lighting conditions. The play of the child adds a joyful touch. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

beautiful contrast between the modern and the older buildings ahead. nice details to enjoy from a corner not so known of the town abroad. interesting the flag of European union here, despite turkey isn't part of the region yet the flag shows how it is desired.
