The eigth window is taken in the famous Topkapı Palace in İstanbul. Once the official seat of Ottoman emperors. This window is in the Harem part of the palace where wifes and daughters (sometime their son's under age 8) were living.
It was strictly forbidden to enter the Harem for outsiders. Even the male staff of Harem were mainly eunuchs.
Sekizinci pencere Topkapı Sarayı'nın hareminden. Zaman zaman haremde yaşayan kadınlar, cariyeler bu geniş pencerelerin içine yaydıkları şiltere oturup dış alemi seyrederlermiş.

this window is beautiful and seen through your lens it seems like it could tell us some interesting stories of its long past. The composition has definitely its own, unique charm and mood you were able to capture and convey in this image.
One thing more I enjoy and which contributes to this special mood is play of ligh&shades(magnificent!)
Have a nice day

Merhaba dear Mesut
Those exquisite İznik faience on the walls attract my attention as does the light filtering through the window!
Red colour in such tiles is quite rare as I understand

I fully agree with Krzysztof, this window looks like something that has some history behind it, has seen much and would be able to tell some amazing stories. Your point of view has created a really masterful lighting effect, and this in combination with the beautiful tile work makes the whole result very magical. Really nicely done.

This window has a tough competition from the tiled wall and the shadows for the most beautiful part of the composition. You have handled the discreet light streaming through the window very well. This is but one of the thousands of marvellous views in Istanbul.

A lovely composition very intimate, with an extraordinary game of shadows and light, fantastic graphics of the lattice of the window and its shade respective tiles are a beautiful addition.
Very good image quality, sharpness is also great.

This by its very nature is very different from most of the other windows in the series. Here there is detailed artistry that has been captured. The ornate tiles and the deft handiwork of skillful artisans have been very well photographed.
The shadow of sunlight on the plinth of the window matches the blue and red artwork on the tiles at the side.
Excellent POV, having a view from the side...
Thanks for sharing, Mesut.

beautiful window from the Harem in Topkapi. Marvelous Iznik tiles around it but the shadows here are most eye catching. Amazing place, one can im agine how the wife of these women looked like. What they were dreaming of sitting in these windows..

Hello dear Mesut,
a very fine composition that has put the window into an intriguing perspective. You've made the most of the light coming in from the window while the outside view is blocked. The outside view and the interior are mysterious and captivate the viewer's imagination. The play of light and shadows as well as the elegant decorative details create an alluring atmosphere. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great evening,
