Istanbul Trip, Day 3, Scene 15
We finally got on the subway from Taksim to go home. It felt good to be out of the rain. It felt good to be sitting. This photo might not look all that remarkable to most, but I had ridden a subway for the first time in New York City in 1982. In the late 60's and 70's when I was growing up in Istanbul, the M2 Line would only have been the stuff of science fiction books.
İstanbul Seyahati, Gün 3, Sahne 15
Biz nihayet eve gitmek için Taksim'den metroya bindik. Yağmurdan çıkmak iyi hissetti. Oturmak iyi hissetti.

You're capturing well this scene by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the inside of subway wagon. They looks like sitting the seat quietly. And, I noticed that this interior ornamentation is alike our country. It always takes courage to take the photograph inside a train.

nice the interior view of the subway, with the few people to sit all in the seats.I like the quality as the clarity of the image of this daily photo.

Good interior shot, nice clarity. Everybody in their own little world with only their thoughts of the day or what's to come.

This looks very neat and clean, like recent subways tend to be (not like NY), and the composition has fine depth and a very good light. I think the Istanbul subway is still totally insufficient for a city that size, and with that kind of traffic congestion. There will have to be connections between the lines on each side of the Golden Horn before it becomes really efficient.

Hi Murat,it seems to be in Milano in the morning..ehehe..a classic scene on the metro, all thinking and no one talking, perfect quality despite the difficult light.Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

I was going to write that I liked this picture because it gives us such a vivid impression of travelling in the Istanbul subway -you have done a remarkable work with the perspective, the sharpness and, of course, the light and contrast management. The car looks very much like some trains that travel in the Athens metro. I like that this is a rare experience for me now and I enjoy it whenever I'm in Athens. Your note feels familiar too, life in Athens was incredibly different before the metro. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

I always appreciate a subway/metro shot, it's generally a good illustration and display of human regard. Fun to see how there's either a connection between people, or as perceived in this case...apparently none at all!? :) Everyone looks to be completely compartmentalized in their space. Also nice to know how things have progressed over time, it's amazing what we take for granted these days...like an umbrella. lol Glad you had a chance to dry out and enjoy the ride. Have a great day ahead. All the best.

Lol at the apt title. 3 days of rain here and 3 more are forecast. Good shot of the interior of this clean and efficient public transport and not too crowded although it can be like sardines at peak hour. The shiny diagonal reflection along the corridor adds dynamism & perspective. Tfs!

I like to use subway in the towns I visit, the first time I used one was in Lisbon in 1968.
I liked the quality of the image, I would cut off a little slice of the left side, but this isn't important, the image is clear and sharp and with good personages. interesting I can't see women in the image.
