Photographer's Note

A beach scene from Kabakoz. A nice ressort on the Black Sea shores close to İstanbul.
Untill a few days ago this sand beaches was full of people..
Now the only living element in this scene is a seagull flying away towards the stormy sky and sea.

Şile yakınlarından Kabakoız plajı.
Birkaç gün öncesine kadar bu kumsal cıvıl cıvıl insanlarla doluydu.
Şimdilerde ise, bu karedeki tek canlı, fırtınalı denizlere doğru kanat açmış bu martı.

Hello Mesut,
This picture bothers me a bit. I have been looking forward to a pleasantly mild late summer in Turkey in a short time, and now you tell me that summer is gone! Maybe Turks and Swedes have different expectations of summer. This fine picture actually looks a lot like autumn with the cool blue tones, an empty beach, fairly strong waves and only one screaming seagull visible.

Yes the summer is gone and all these beautiful beaches too. You have captured it at the perfect time. The setting sun lightning the rock with it's warm colour creates a charming mood. I like also the contrast between shadowed foreground.

hui Mesut, How sad that the summer comes to the end. It hasn't gone yet. We have now wonderful hot days, probably that last this year. what a pity, I love summer. Nice nostalgic photo, wonderful light, nice sky and this bird with long sharp beak. Well done.

I'm not a fan of this processing but the effect works so well on the patches of dappled light on the cliff, it actually replicates for me how my eye sees mixed-up bright light and shadow. It' a fantastic beachscape displaying the power of nature with the skyscape filled by wonderful cotton clouds in such a dramatic formation full of energy, an the birdie is there at the right time. I think you have done it complete justice with this shot, Congrats, TFS

Quelle belle lumière, matinal ou de soir et avec l'oeil du photographe ça donne une merveilleuse photo. Une excellente composition et beau format carré. La qualité d'image est là et les couleurs sont splendides. Bien vu d'avoir inclus l'oiseau dans la scène.

it seems a bit dark at first but after a while one can feel a romantic atmosphere thanks to the fascinating light conditions. Very well exposed taking into account the low light situation.

I like especially here the last rays of sunshine on the cliffs , contrasting with the blueish and greyish tonalities . The seagul is a real bonus of teh composition .

außergewöhnliche Farben und Linien! Möglicherweise ist dieser Blick im Sommer-Sonnenschein gar nicht so schön, sondern einfach nur ein Strand wie viele.

Merhaba Mesut,

The colours speak so loudly of the end of the day. Although the beach is in shadow, the cliffs are golden and the sea, a silvery blue.
I like how you have used the triangle of the beach for strength and as a guide to the attractive cliffs.

Bei dem Titel musste ich denken ... wem sagt er das ?! ;-)
Auch hier hat sich der Sommer verabschiedet und es war insgesamt kein Guter. Es ist eigenartig, wie in manchen Sommern die Gartenpflanzen einfach nicht gedeihen wollen. 2012 war solch ein Sommer ...
Dein Foto strahlt eine wunderschöne und faszinierende Stimmung aus - besonders für eine Landratte wie mich. Das schwierige Licht hast Du gut gemeistert.

Merhaba, my friend Mesut,
the low light of the sunset bathes the cliff with a few magnificent golden tones, creating a very pleasant contrast with the beach under the shade, while the sky offers us a great aesthetic quality because of its beautiful color and the decorative clouds.
I like the gull flying in foreground, perfectly caught.
The composition is very attractive, and is executed-well.

Merhaba Mesut, great composition of the great sand beach in Sile!!Dramatic sea and waves, soft and forgiving sky, impressive rock and the live presence of the seas keeper the seagul compose a beautiful picture that looks more like a watercolor painting!!!
