Istanbul Trip, Day 8, Scene 3
This is the Ortaköy quay area, with my back against the Bosphorus. The brick building on the right is The Marmara Esma Sultan, a cultural center established on the ruins of Esma Sultan Yalısı (Esma Sultan Mansion).
This three-storey brick building was designed by the renowned architect Sarkis Balyan and finished in 1875 next to Ortaköy Mosque. It was presented to Esma Sultan (1873-1899), the daughter of Ottoman Sultan Abdülaziz, as a wedding gift in 1889. The mansion remained in the possession of the Ottoman dynasty until 1915. Since 1915, the mansion was used as a Greek school after 1918, a tobacco depot after 1922; changing hands in the 1950s, it was used as a storage facility and carpenters workshop until it was destroyed by a fire in 1975. The ruin, consisting only of the outer walls of the building, was purchased in the early 1990s by The Marmara hotel chain. Following a renovation with additions designed by architect Gökhan Avcıoğlu, the mansion was opened in 2001 as a multipurpose event venue. Within the original brick exterior a steel and glass structure is incorporated.
İstanbul Seyahati, Gün 8, Sahne 3
Bu, arkam Boğaz'a dönük olarak, Ortaköy iskele alanıdır. Sağdaki tuğla bina The Marmara Esma Sultan, Esma Sultan Yalısı yıkıntıları üzerinde kurulmuş bir kültür merkezidir.

I like this picturesque place of Istanbul, but I think it looks more colorful in a real life. Some strange pale colors for RAW format and so expensive camera.

All the people are in a nice quiet moment sitting on the benches of the square.
You chose a very well angle, this cares for depth and perspective.
A splendid daily life picture with excellent colours.
Very well composition, good presentation. TFS.
Have a nice day,

well saturated outdoor's scene, under bright daylight and good clarity.
Fine DOF along the paved road, people and the flags make an extra vivid scene.
Sunny day brought out many to enjoy the moment.

This is not the most typical and easily identified Istanbul view, but it looks neat and nice and the atmosphere looks good among the people sitting on the benches. The party flags add more colors to the view. I looked at the WS made by Serghei and I think he has a point regarding the colors and contrasts. I sometimes notice a tendency of overdoing the PP.

You're capturing well thia square and bilding by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the historical building with three stories. It's interesting to hear the circumstances of birth, changes of a use. And, it's impresive to see the spectacle which residents are relaxing at the square.

I like the scene, and I agree with what Serghei did on the PP...needed just a little "punch" of saturation. Looks like a great place to be out and enjoy the space, especially on a sunny day. :) The string of flags crossing into the frame is a lively element and plays right into the upbeat setting. Very good notes to detail this image, always nice to see and learn of things that aren't the most well known. Take it easy. Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Attractive combo scene with the earthlings enjoying the quay, colorful banners, and the 19th century architecture background.
Thanks for sharing,
