Istanbul Trip, Day 8, Scene 1
The last day I was in Istanbul was the first fully sunny day. Chris Jules (ChrisJ) and I had arranged to meet for lunch at The House Cafe (see workshop photo) in Ortaköy. This is the view out of the window as we were waiting for our food. As I was reviewing these photos, I thought it was an irony to have a fast Coast Guard boat and a row boat in the same frame.

nice the presentation of the big one with the snall fish boat in the same frame as we can see their 'speed'.I like the good reportrage shot from this section of Istanbul.

nice view with blue water and a well balanced composition with details and contrast between these two boats.

Hi I looked at once at Workshop photo with hope to see Chris but I am disappointed.. I was also disappointed being in Ortakoy, with the beautiful famous mosque in renovation.

A pleasant meeting with our friend Chris in Istanbul.
Also your second picture with the restaurant is nice taken.
But the two boats are the real eye catcher on these picture, a big different between the two.
Technical perfect taken and wonderful made.
Colours and sharpness make these picture very attractive.
Nice composition and good presentation.
Very well done, TFS.
Have a nice weekend,

Assuming the photo taken through a glass window, I can understand the duble filter's effect it did, Murat.
I taken the liberty to post a WS, removed the glass effect, and a bit enhanced sharpness.
The Bosphoros with the mansions on the far side bank are great scenery from the POV taken. Hope you will approve.
Have a nice weekend.

A nice capture, the power of the Coast Guard passing as if the rowing boat is at a standstill. Good POV.

There is no way, the rowing boat is going to win this uneven race against the coast guard cruiser.
A pleasant little scene of daily life on the mighty Bosphorus.
have a great day

You're a tease Murat, I was expecting to see a picture of you both...but alas, only the cafe. :) Doesn't it always seem to work out that way, the last bit of time is when the sun finally makes an appearance...just enough to let you know how much nicer it could have been? lol
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the much larger, motorized boat is going to take the checkered flag. :) Take my advice, put your money on it! A smart observation and and composition to create the effect. Enjoy the remainder of the evening. Take it easy.

You're capturing well this scape by a good angle and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the calm Bosporus and Coast Guard boat/row boat which is sailing it. And, it's also impressive in the green forest and houses on hill of the opposite shore. It's good Cafe for WS.

very nice contrast between the boats. I liked the big landscape ahead and the big flag. it is a pity the light wasn't so nice . anyway a good job.
