Hommage to Bihrat Photo

Photographer’s Note

Bihrat Mavitan is one of the most famous sculpturers of Turkey.
I portraid him in his atelier in Kuzguncuk; a small nice village in Bosphorus. Kuzguncuk is very famous and a unique sample of interreligious dialog. There you can meet within the same area a synogogue, a mosque and a church.

Bihrat Mavitan günümüzün en önemli heykel sanatçılarından biridir. Onun bu portresini Boğaziçinde ,Kuzguncukdaki atölyesinde çektim. Kuzguncuk dinler arası dialoğun en önemli göstergelerinden biridir. Aynı mahalde yanyana bir sinagog, cami ve kilise yer almaktadır.

arkadaki kütüphanesiyle fotoğraflarla ve çerçevelenmiş belki bir mezuniyet belgesiyle gözlüğüyle ve sakalıyla yaşayan bir foto olmuş. sanki şimdi oraya gidip baksam benimle konuşacak gibi..

lafi uzatmayayim,nefis bir portre.Sanatciyi tanimadigimi dusunuyordum ama eserlerinin bazilariyla karsilastigimi internette ismini arastirdigim zaman anladim."Yeterli ısrar, yeteneği hizaya getirir" cumlesini de makalesinin icinden cikarip beynime yazdim. Tanimayanlar da sayenizde taniyacaklar. Elinize, gozunuze saglik.
