Here they are both monuments, side by side glorious, spectacular, intriguing, simply stunning!!
A view of the historical center of Istanbul with both monuments to draw attention to visitors and locals.
from wikipedia the people's encyclopedia
The Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Turkish: Sultan Ahmet Camii) is a historic mosque in Istanbul. The mosque is popularly known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior.
It was built from 1609 to 1616, during the rule of Ahmed I. Its Külliye contains a tomb of the founder, a madrasah and a hospice. The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is still popularly used as a mosque.
In 1453, Istanbul (Constantinople) was conquered by the Ottoman Turks under Sultan Mehmed II, who ordered this main church of the Orthodox Christianity converted into a mosque. By this point, the Church had fallen into a state of disrepair. Nevertheless, the Christian cathedral made a strong impression on the new Ottoman rulers and they decided to convert it into a mosque. The bells, altar, iconostasis, and sacrificial vessels and other relics were removed and the mosaics depicting Jesus, his Mother Mary, Christian saints and angels were also removed or plastered over. Islamic features – such as the mihrab, minbar, and four minarets – were added. It remained a mosque until 1931 when it was closed to the public for four years. It was re-opened in 1935 as a museum by the Republic of Turkey.

I like the tight crop horizontally, concetrate the view on the two notable monuments of Istanbul.
Blue water contrast with the other side bank's scenery over town - but also a smog hang above town.
Big cities known problem.
Altogether a fine perspective of the vibrant place.
Enjoy your weekend,

Lorsqu'on arrive à Istambul par la voie des eaux, c'est le spectacle qui nous attend. Les deux mosquées dans le même cadrage est magnifique et justifie le grand angle.

Attractive panoramic waterside view of Istanbul with diverse colorful buildings, softened by the green trees, then the dominant magnificent mosques with immense domes and tall slender minarets.
Certainly a worthy place to visit and soak in the history, culture and people.
Have a fine weekend,

What a sight this is, to see two such grand structures with such rich history side by side in this great city. A beautiful choice of framing for the shot, drawing attention perfectly to the two great mosques. The deep blue sea creates excellent depth, and the placing of the buildings great width making this a really inviting and appealing scene.
Thanks again for sharing.

It's a spectacular panorama no doubt, enjoying the lovely sweeping view, immense depth and clarity of the famous city. Amazingly captured from good orientation with two very prominent structures draw the eye for good effect which dont let loose. This is full of lively colours and obviously a feature that has really worked here for the shot, i also feel the deep blue water adds the extra boost to the shot. Well managed exposure, contrast and sharpness. Congrats
