Photographer's Note

The Topkapı Bit Pazarı is a open air flea market in the Topkapi region of Istanbul. You do not know if there is actually a market there, because it's situated within the walls of an old fortification. I myseld had no clue there was something worth seeing there, till I saw quite many people heading towards the walls, then entering through some gaps in the stones (there is a "normal" entrance too). I could not resist to my curiosity so I followed the people and I was surely rewarded for that. I cannot say that I found something really worth bying in the market, the atmosphere though was actually interesting. The street vendors had their wares spread on tarpaulins, very often almost over the mud that covered the whole space. I surely recommend this place as a day visit for everyone.
