You're a bit crazy, aren't you, can't do without TE even for a day. :-)
How did you find a purpose in life before you joined the site? :-)
The picture is good anyway with the mosque very nicely illuminated in the dark night. 2 seconds was just the right exposure time for this.

So those itchy feet have landed you in Istanbul! I knew you were going but forgot how soon it would be. Wonderful nightshot, great planning and exceptional knowledge about this marvellous city. Good to see you had the tripod in tow, I'm so proud of you! Happy travels!

Glad to see your endless life power! Korkut invited me to visit Istanbul again too. And I can do it without some problem, but I see I just don't have the time... Excellent night view, good exposure, fine DoF, although F/3.5 seems me as very low exponent.

My word, you never stop do you? :) Good for you, I can only express my envy to travel like you. You've come to the tripod side now, yes....mwhahaha! That will make Craig proud! :) I have a hard time working without mine, it'll become second nature.
A beautiful night time shot, the glow from the artificial lights warms up the sky above, and is a nice compliment to the mosque below with it's soothing tones.
Looking forward to pictures from this trip, and still hoping to see more castles from France. Travel safe, be well.

Attractive night vision of the classical mosque, for the glowing lighting accentuating the towers and domes with a palm foreground contrast.

So, it is Isanbul this time, you really have itchy feet ...., always on the go. Good for you.
This is a magnificent night shot from the Sulanahmet mosque, so well illuminated.
Enjoy your trip.

Hello Malgo - I am insanely jealous, Istanbul is one of my most favourite cities and here you are! My goodness, do you never sit still? :)
Well done you carrying a tripod about with you and here you have used it to good effect. A classic shot of the 'Blue Mosuqe'. Well managed light and a composition which brings back many happy memories for me.
Travel well. Rosemary

I was a bit silent during past days, yesterday I just came back from my Kerala trip, and it was excellent. My silence is broken. I've already started post photos from this trip.
This is a beautiful night view to the Blue Mosque. Really an excellent photo. The magnificent lights and the excellent contrast also lends a lovely hue to the scene. Maybe you should try to straighten the photo a bit. The minaets on both sides are slightly leaning inwards. Otherwise very well done! Do you know what is very special for this mosque?

you have visited Istanbul two weeks after me. And you have taken a night photo on the gorgeous Sultanahmet Mosque, as I, too.
I like this wonderful architecture shining with its elegant lighting in the darkness of the night, in this case the cloudy sky has a bit of colour.
A beautiful capture.
