The Tower of Justice (Adalet Kulesi) is the tallest structure in Topkapi palace and is easily visible from the Bosphorus Straits.. The tower was built under Mehmed II and then renovated by Suleiman I between 1527-1529.
The tower symbolizes the eternal vigilance of the sultan against injustice and was also used by the sultan for his viewing pleasures. The old tower used to have grilled windows, adding to suggest seclusion. The golden window in the Imperial Council can be reached through thisTower, thus emphasizing on the symbolism of justice.
