Topkapi Palace is consisted of four courtyards and Harem. The Treasury, one of the greatest collections of treasures in the world, is the most impressive. The most famous pieces are the 86-carat Spoonmaker's Diamond (the fifth-largest diamond in the world) and the emerald-studded Topkapi Dagger (two uncut emeralds, each weighing about eight pounds). They are displayed behind glass. Pictures are not allowed.
This is another room in Harem. It brings to mind not just luxury but also the regimentation of life in this enclosed enclave.

Hello Tiffany - I remember the decorative tiles as being a highlight of Topkapi Palace and here is a lovely presentation of a superbly decorated interior. You have managed the light very well and the interior has the exact feel of quiet cool seclusion I recall. Lovely delicate work. Warm regards rosemary
