Photographer's Note

The Galata bridge across the Golden Horn connects the old walled city of Istanbul with the suburb of Pera, where the foreigners, or Franks, resided in early Ottoman times. Even today the Galata bridge is an interesting place to stop and watch the world go by. The current version is the fifth one and was finished in 1994.
