Photographer’s Note

WORLD THEATRE DAY, 27 MARCH 2009

First launched in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute, World Theatre Day is celebrated on 27 March throughout the world.

Every year, a personality well known for his/her good will and intellectual merits is invited to share thoughts on the theme of theatre and peace.

My todays entry is a portrait of the famous turkish actress Yıldız Kenter, in L.Tolstoy’s Anna Karenina as Agatha !

DÜNYA TİYATRO GÜNÜ, 27 MART 2009

İlk defa 1961 yılında, Uluslararası Tiyatro Enstitüsü tarafından kutlanılmaya başlayan Dünya Tiyatro Günü bütün dünyada her yıl 27 Mart tarihinde kutlanılıyor.

Her yıl , entellektüel seviyesi ve konu ile ilgisi bilinen bir ünlü, tiyatro ve dünya barışı konusunda bir bildiri hazırlıyor ve bu bildiri bütün dünya tiyatrolarında okunuyor.

Bu vesile ile benim bugünkü kare’m ünlü tiyatro sanatçısı Yıdız Kenter; Anna Karenina’da, köylü kadın Agatha rolünde !

Excellent colours! I imagine this photo was taken from quite a distance, but it is still a very good portrait against the black background. A very expressive picture!

"Ben Anadolu" da izlemistim muthis performansini. Sapka cikartilacak sanatcilarimizdan. Tiyatro dahil sanatin tum dallarinin geliserek, yenilenerek ama ayni zamanda koklerini koruyarak katma degeri ile artmasi dilegiyle...

Hallo Mesut!
Ein interessantes Foto, da die Unschärfe hier überhaupt nicht stört sondern irgendwie als Gestaltungselement wahrgenommen wird. Die dunkle Umgebung und das schräge Licht schaffen hier eine besondere, eine faszinierende Atmosphäre.
Grüße aus Westfalen, wo es abwechselnd hagelt und schüttet!

degerli tiyatro oyuncumuzu zor sartlarda ne kadar iyi gorunyulemissiniz.. simsiyah fon, oyuncudaki deyatlari daha belirgin yapmis.. ve oyun esnasinda cekebilmenize ayrica tebrikler Mesut Bey.. bugun icin cok anlamli ve ozel..

Merhaba Mesut Bey,A appreciable picture on scene of famous woman I liked that has (actress, drama professor, writer, and director Yildiz Kenter is the best-known woman to have worked at the Turkish State Theater. Kenter has dedicated her life to the performing arts, having written, performed, and directed over one hundred plays and has been honored for her lifelong work with various national and international awards. She is currently a lecturer for theatrical arts at the Ankara State Conservatory.)

The colors emerging for the darkness and your genaral PP makes this picture like a painting.
