The Distant Neighbour Close Memories: 600th Anniversary of Turkish - Polish Relations exhibition covers a period beginning in the first half of the 15th century and continuing with trade, peace and war up to the late 17th century, when the Second Siege of Vienna became a turning point not just in relations between Ottoman Turkey and Poland, but in the history of Europe.
The display in this photo shows silk ritual robes that were manufactured in Bursa and exported to Poland.

Always a tough circumstance trying to shoot indoors under low light, but this turned out well. The darkened background actually works in your favor to showcase (literally) this exhibition. With no one around, it almost feels like you had been granted private access specifically for a photo shoot. :) Colorful and well balanced, looks great! Have a good one. Take it easy.

I like the excellent light management in tough conditions. The dark BG is helping the colourful festive clothes to stand out nicely. Reading you note I wonder in those days in the absence of modern means of communication how these civilisations were connected despite the geographical distance. Good presentation, thanks for sharing.

The glass box has no glare, and a perfect light upon the display, even the exit sign looks right in place and mingle along.
Fine work, cheers.

Given the conditions being indoors and all the glass, a very good shot of these very ornate robes.

You're capturing well the showpiece of the exhibition by a good composition and very excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see silk ritual robes with beautiful design and a good color combination. It looks like prominent clothes in medieval times. The exhibition hall arranges well the layout of some showpiece and the light is controlled well. I did not know about the trade association/relation between Turkey and Poland.

the exhibition must be very interesting both for the items on display and for the history lessons accompanying them. I like very much how you adjusted your frame to the theme and how you ensured excellent depth and sharpness for this presentation. There's a wonderful balance between foreground and background. You managed the lighting superbly, there's a suggestive atmosphere and I also like the sheen on the floor and the reflection above the central exhibit. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a great day,

The wideness of the hall is giving depth to the composition. Using an ISO of 1600 and a slow shutter speed is allowing me to see the détails and the colours of the exhibit. It is also bringing out the colours. Have a nice day.

these traditional priest clothes seem quite familiar to me -I did not know that we were exporting them from Turkey. That must have been a very interesting exhibition for me. Thanks for sharing that here. I have read your comment to my previous critique. It is nice that a difficult past is celebrated in a positive way. I admire this positive attitude in Turkish nation.
Very nice composition here, well exposed in difficult light.
By the way from my town comes Polish general who later became Ottoman Pasha. General Jozef Bem: READ HERE IN TURKISH.
