The Rüstem Pasa Mosque is in the foreground, and the Süleymaniye Camii (Mosque of Süleyman the Magnificent) is on the hill.
My apologies for my initial wrong description - thanks to ömer for the correct mosque names.
Scanned from a negative.

Very nice photo, nice overview about this place. The scanning is also excellent. Lifelike colors and images are not pale. Too bad that it interferes in the middle of the lamp-post, but this, least of all, the photographer can .-)
Have a nice day!

Güzel paylaşım. fakat cami isimleri karışmış sanırım.
harika bir görüntü

very good quality of the scan. I would probably not even recognize it is a scan.
Great view. Amazing architecture. I really have to go to Istanbul some day. The place seems so rich in photo opportunities. So close and so exotic at the same time.
Great POV, I have never seen it before!

Pretty good scan from a negative - not much has been lost over the last 13 years. Must bring back memories.

What a great, bold photo of Istanbul. I only spent 3 days there but was blown away by the sights and sounds. Hope to go back for more. Yours is a colourful and rich image, true to the place.
