I did marvel whilst at Istanbul at how efficient the transport system is as ferries, trams, trains and buses crisscross this cosmopolitan megalopolis. Of course I was a visitor there for several days, maybe the locals feel differently in their everyday perambulations.
I was attracted to this scene by the rush of locals and tourists and also by the three smiling women who were obviously in a hurry but had time to share a joke or funny observation.

Thanks for memories! I was here in 2000, and I'd like to come back to Istanbul. To meet Korkut, for example. Simple but interesting daily life scene with impressive famous background.
All the best wishes,

Interesting street scene with the monumental architecture in the background. I like the collection of people you captured - the locals and the tourists with big backpacks.

I know this area well. Good sharpness and the crowds add life and animate the scene. A superb pastel coloured sunset and the tram at left is often packed at peak hour! Good sharpness as proven by the text. The 2 mosques at left add interest. Tfs!

Yes Klaudio, managed a nice moment with the three ladies smiling, while in a hurry from the ferry depot.
City monuments "rising" on far side, provided a fine backdrop for the rush-hour scene. Vibrant amjbiance well conveyed.
Have a nice new week,

thats funny, we missed each other by only a few days!
I was here around May 8-12th! how strange is that :)
I remember this view very well, brings back alot of memories for sure.
When i visited we had 2 full days of rain, then 2 sunny days - how about you?
love the skyline with the mosques, we certainly don't get that view here in Canada.
fine daily life scene

What I like about this scene is this being a capture of the daily life of Istanbul...people scurrying to work, people idling...could be in any city, except of course for the BG...the imposing shape of Yeni Camii wich makes this rather special!
