Photographer's Note

I start from today onwards another small series under the title "Street Musicians" .
Here the first one from İstanbul. This group is a quartett making wonderfull jazz music on the famous street Pera of İstanbul. Once a major shopping street.

Bugünden itibaren küçük bir seriye başlayacağım: "Sokak Müzisyenleri" .
Bu ilk karedeki "dörtlü" İstiklal Caddesinin Tünel'e yakın kesimlerinde muhteşem caz müziği yapıyorlar genellikle akşam saatlerinde.

Une scène d'animation de rue dynamique bien cadrée. Bizarrement, j'ai la sensation que le haut de l'image est un peu aplati?

Hi Mesut,

The distance between the musicians and the building at the end of the sidewalk is giving depth to the composition. You have captured well the action of the street musicians. The light has a good effect on the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Mesut,
This is a good street photograph filled with colours and action. Just by looking at the accordion player I can feel the rhythm of the music. The picture is very well composed and nicely cropped.

Hi Mesut,

Wow! At first I thought this was in Holland, or some other western European country, so a big surprise to see it in Turkey too. Good colour, sharpness & framing. The gradually decreasing dof is great & the side-walk adds linear perspective. Tfs!

Very nice capture of these musicians, especially the one in the foreground. We can see the action of them playing, and I can imagine hearing the music... This scene is very colorful and sharp. It must be difficult to carry that large bass around the crowded city!

This is a wonderful portrait of these street musicians, obviously very enthusiastic about their music. The concentration on the face of the chap with the accordion is brilliant. I love his pose too, his long legs bent and his body crouched over his instument. Nice hair too!

Very well captured with lovely vibrant colours, perfect exposure and exquisite detail and sharpness.

It's always nice to stroll into town and stop in front of bands, fans and strangers, often excellent. The view shows the framing and skillfully musicians and passers-by. The light, colors, sharpness and depth are excellent. Bravo.

Suonatori in strada ...
Chi non è bravo con il violino ....suona il violoncello .
Nelle feste la fisarmonica .....e spettacolare.
Sempre meno la suonano ..rispetto a quando ero giovane e la si suonava in casa per le feste.

Hallo Mesut. Ein schönes und lebendiges Bild. Auf der Istiklal caddesi ist immer volles Leben, - und in der schönen Jahreszeit insbesonders. Als ich vor ein paar jahren in Istanbul war, bin ich diese Straße täglich mehrmals entlang gegangen. Das Photo mit den kultigen Musikern gefällt mir sehr gut. Viele Grüße, Wolfgang.
