This is the picture that led me join TREKEARTH. I was looking up "Hidiv Kasrı" to get location information to upload this picture to another site and I clicked on a photo displayed on TE. I looked into the site and I like the philosophy of TE better than that of the other site. This is what pictures are supposed to be about: show others what you yourself have witnessed in a pleasing manner. They don't have to be perfect, they don't have to be jazzed up by weird colors, just enhanced to make the point. So I joined and am loading this picture up to TREKEARTH.

I like your picture and your comment that goes with it. Keep sending more ! As you say, TE is for looking at the world with many eyes and for improving one's own technique. Your pic is a good example: on my screen (and with my eyes), Hidiv Kasrı has turned out a little too rosy. Therefore I make a proposition in the workshop area for a slight change in hue. See whether you like it (you don't have to, TE is about discussions)
With my best regards, Dietrich

Congratulations for your first upload on TE. I really enjoyed reading your note which explains so well what TE is about.
I personally think it's a wonderful site. It's a pity you weren't here yet for the 10th anniversary of the site (See my pics 198 and 199) which we celebrated by posting into a special theme for the occasion.
The photo lacks a little sharpness, but I love the composition, with the tower of the bright building overlooking the forest.
The contrast in colours is very pleasant.
