Istanbul Trip, Day 7, Scene 10
As we approach Beşiktaş, the only buildings I can identify are the historic Beşiktaş Pier, the Mausoleum of Barbaros Hayrettin and Sinanpaşa Mosque.
PS. The frame of reference for horizontal is the boat, so the buildings are a bit tilted. I concluded that this choice shows the rocking of the boat more effectively.
İstanbul Seyahati, Gün 7, Sahne 10
Biz Beşiktaşa yaklaşırken, benim belirleyebildiğim binalar, sadece tarihi Beşiktaş İskelesi, Barbaros Hayrettin Türbesi ve Sinanpaşa Camiidir.
PS. Yatay için referans çerçevesi teknedir, onun için binalar biraz eğik. Ben bu seçimin teknenin sallanmasını daha etkili gösterdiği sonucuna vardım.

Excellent view from ship to nice Istanbul-Besiklas building. I like the nice blue-white color contrast. All in superb light, nicely framed in vertical format.
Very well done.

This composition builds another bridge across the Bosphorus. The details of the ferry and the passenger create a very good and eye-catching foreground which connects very nicely with the view towards the European side with its changing skyline. The water has a suprisingly nice green tone.

I completely understand the dilemma in composition...trying to find that balance on a rocking boat is virtually impossible. With my weak stomach, just visualizing this picture makes me a bit unsettled. :) Those two modern towers sure make their presence known against the rest of the city. Loving the deep turquoise water, and that orange lifesaver is a nice compliment of color in conjunction...kind of a tropical combo. Another fine scene along the water ways. Enjoy the rest of the evening. Take care.

You're capturing well this cityscape from boat by a good angle and excellent tone, so it's interesting and impressive to see many kind of architectures on the hill. The old and new building is intermingled and it is interesting.

another nice slice of urban landscape of instambul. I liked the colors of the sea, the personage and the contrast between old and new architecture we can see ahead.

a very interesting composition in a large vertical frame that gives us a very effective sense of perspective and depth. A great juxtaposition/connection of foreground and background that makes the view more intriguing and meaningful. I like the colours and how the light sweetens the winter aspect of this amazing seafront. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely day,
PS I'm sure you'll soon make it to the Greek islands, so close to your old neighbourhood in Bodrum. You'll still be close this year, I hope that you and your family will have a great time in this year's trip!
