Photographer’s Note

People have been drying food for thousands
of years. It helps families through the harsh winter months. Most of the moisture is removed in sun-drying. After drying, food was lighter and smaller and could be more easily stored or carried.

It was taken in outskirts of Edirne.

bakın yine kim çıkmış ortaya!... bu çocuk genç noel baba galiba... ve küreğiyle bereket saçıyor dünyaya... en güzel krelerinden biri bence, dengeli kompozisyonu ve titiz çerçevelenmesiyle... yeni yılda herşey gönlünce olsun üstad...

Al işte sevgili dostum , grafiklerin arsına dayanamadın sıkıştırdın yine iç ısıtan bir mahalle fotografını. Arka fon harika her şeyi anlatıyor, sokağın akışı harika, ana konu çok canlı ve hoş, hareket var, yerin rengi çok güzel, çocuğun kafa biraz sola sıkışmış gibi ama, birde çocuk olduğu için estetik bir kürek sallama hareketi yapamamış , kadı kızı misali olacak o kadar ( çıtanı kendin yükselttin hocam napim).

a shot that depicts life in the rural areas. i like the "freeze" capture of the yellow grains and the little boy exerting efforts at lifting that shovel!
