ULUDAĞ:

Marmara Bölgesinin en yüksek dağı. Kuzeybatı-güneydoğu doğrultusunda uzanan Uludağ'ın uzunluğu 40 km'yi bulur. Genişliği ise 15-20 km'dir. Toplu ve heybetli bir görünüşe sahip olan bu dağın Bursa'ya bakan yamaçları kademeli, güneye Orhaneli'ne bakan tarafları ise düz ve daha diktir. En yüksek noktası Uludağ Tepe'de 2.543 m'dir. Dağın kuzey tarafında Sarıalan, Kirazlı, Kadı, Sobra yaylaları vardır.

Uludağ'ın yüksek yerlerinde eski buzullara ait izlere raslanmaktadır. Karatepe'nin kuzeyindeki Aynalıgöl, Karagöl ve Kilimligöl buzul gölleri bu izlerin en önemlileridir. Bu göllerin mavi berrak suları, hemen aşağısında başlayan yemyeşil çam ormanları, yükseklerdeki beyaz kar yığınları buraların güzelliğine güzellik katmaktadır.

ULUDAĞ:

Mt. Uludağ is the highest mountain of the Marmara region. Its highest peak is Kartaltepe 2543 meters high. To the north are high plateaus: Sarıalan, Kirazlıyayla , Kadıyayla , Sobra.
The highest area in western Anatolia, Uludağ is easily ascended by car or cable-car. The park is about 22 km south of Bursa and is signposted from there. Bursa can be reached by road from Istanbul. The cable-car ascends from Bursa and has an intermediate stop in the alpine meadows of Kadiyayla at about 1000 m elevation. It ends at Sarialan at about 1630 m.

This isn't a scene that one would normally associate with Turkey, and it's good to see another side of the country.
I like the simplicity of the composition, with the curve of the road leading the eye into the scene.

Özellikle yolla ve ağaçlarla belirlenen diagonal ve dikey grafikal çizgilerin üstünlük kazandığı çok güzel bir kış tablosu. Ahmet, c'est une photo qui nous replonge en hiver avec la neige. La route fait une belle courbe. 2543 m d'altitude c'est impressionnant pour une route.

A simple and very refreshing composition, in this spring image in the mountain still with snow.
The curve of the frozen highway gives a beautiful geometry to the image, and the big trees that accompany it on both sides give an environment natural and full of peace to this place.
It is an agreeable and fitted well photo.

Well this is so refreshing now that the summer is here and the weather is so hot here in Portugal. I like a lot snowy views and this one is no excpetion with the lines of curvy road giving great dinamism to the photo and splitting well the photo on two sides. The smooth tones of snow and sky are also very appealing.

One would think this picture was taken somewhere on a canadian snowy road. Not at all, here's the other side of Turkey where you can enjoy 4 different real seasons just like here. The road leads your eyes inside the photo with a sharp turn to the right, adding depth to the whole.
